The MID ESSEX PRIMARY CARE TRUST. This is our local Primary Care Trust (PCT). The Care Trust is the part of the NHS which Commissions Heath Services for all the residents of the district and also Social Care for the older residents. The Mid Essex PCT was established on 1st October 2006 as a combination of the former Chelmsford Primary Care Trust, Maldon and South Chelmsford Primary Care Trust and Witham, Braintree and Halstead Care Trusts. It provides health services to people living in Braintree District Council, Chelmsford Borough Council and Maldon District Council areas. The 2006 guide to Health & Social Care Services was distributed to every household. It contains contact numbers for a great many related services.
