COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP, ELIGIBILITY etc:

THE ELECTORAL SERVICES MANAGER, BRAINTREE DISTRICT COUNCIL:

To be eligible to join the Parish Council you must be:

a British Subject or a citizen of the Irish Republic or EU and be resident in the UK.

At least 21 years of age on the day on which you are nominated.

Either on the Electoral Register of the Parish or have lived or worked in the Parish or within 4.8 Km (3 miles) of the Parish boundary for at least the previous 12 months.

DECLARATION OF INTERESTS:

BRAINTREE DISTRICT COUNCIL

On their appointment to the Council all members have to declare any general relevant Direct and Indirect Pecuniary Interests on General Notice of Registrable Interests Forms which can be viewed at the BDC website under >Home >Council and Democracy.

Before any meeting members are required to declare any Direct and Indirect Pecuniary Interests in any items on the agenda at the beginning of that meeting. They will then have to leave the premises while that item is discussed.
