GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 7TH JULY 2005


Present were:- Mr M. Wood. (Chairman), Mrs P. Slimming (Vice Chairman), Mrs B. McNeill, Mr R. Francis, Mr B. Sargeant.

In attendance:- Mr R. liming. Clerk to the Parish Council

Apologies for absence.:- County Councillor Mr D. Finch. District Councillor, Mr N. McCrea.
Apologies for absence not recorded in June 2005 minutes;- Mrs P. Slimming.


Minutes of meeting.

955/456. No declarations of interest were declared by members.

956/457. The minutes of the meeting held on June nd were confirmed as a correct record.

957/458. Planning Applications:-
One application for a Conservatory to the rear of a house situated at Highfields, Great Yeldham was considered by members. No objections were recorded from members.

958/459. Correspondence:
As a direct result of a letter received advising the Parish Council on the availability of various types of Speed Cameras, members instructed the clerk to contact County Highways in order to arrange a meeting to review the traffic situation adjacent to St Andrews School Mrs Cowell, of the Highways Traffic Department informed the clerk that all local schools were in the process of being visited by her department in order to give children and parents guidance in correct parking. Immediate attention was also being given to legal roadside markings outside of all schools.
Other advisory letters were referred for filing.

959/460. Sports ground Committee. It was resolved by members that Mr B. Sargeant be elected as a Parish Council representative to the Sports Ground Committee.

960/461. Parish rangers. Members discussed a draft document, received from Braintree District Council that outlined the anticipated duties of nine Parish Rangers. The information given was far from being complete but it was felt by members that the intended program should run for the proposed year.

961/462. Accounts for payment were passed for payment by members.

962/463. A letter received from Mr A. Martin requesting publication. Was withdrawn by the sender.
