MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 4TH 2005. Present were:- Mr M. Wood. (Chairman), Mrs. P. Slimming. (Vice Chairman), Mrs. B. McNeill, Mr B. Sargeant, Mr C. Cumaranatunge. In attendance were:- Mr N. McCrea, District Councilor) Mr R. Liming. Clerk to P.C. Apologies for absence:- County Councilor Mr D. Finch. Mr R, Francis. Minutes of meeting 963/464. No declarations of interest were declared by members. 964/465. The minutes of the meeting held on July 7th 2005 were confirmed as a correct record. 965/466. Planning Application 05/01340/COU. (Erection of marquee at white Hart) and Planning Application 05/01465/FUL. Erection of Conservatory. Were considered by Members. No objections were recorded. 966/467. Correspondence. Letters of information to the Parish Council were noted and referred for filing where required. 967/468 Casual Vacancies on the Parish Council. Further to the three vacancies on the Parish Council being advertised for the required period of time, members were informed that two applications had been received. Application one was from Mrs. M. Baker of 4 Whitlock Drive. Great Yeldham CO9 4E. Application two was from Mr. I. Spencer. Mans Cross House. Stambourne Road, Great Yeldham. CO9 4RA. Both letters of application were then read to members. Mr Cumaranatunge requested that the importance of the 'Declaration of Interest' on any agenda item be made clear to the applicants. In reply the Chairman confirmed that all members are now legally required to declare any such interest and that the requirements of the act would be fully explained in documentation available to new Councilors. Members then unanimously agreed to co-opt Mrs. Margaret Baker and Mr. Ian Spencer as members of the Great Yeldham Parish Council. The Chairman then welcomed the new members and requested that the required Declaration Of Acceptance Of Office form be signed. On completion of this the new Members were each given a New Councillors Pack together with a 'Register of Interests' form which had to be completed as soon as possible and returned to the Monitoring officer at B.D.C. or the Clerk of the Parish council. 968/469. Appointment to the Office of Trustee, of three members to the Great Yeldham United Charities Committee. (Ex-officio Mr. M. Wood ). Mr. C Cumaranatunge and Mr. I Spencer were elected as Parish Council representatives. Appointment of one Trustee to the Great Yeldham Educational Foundation. Mrs. B. McNeill was elected to serve on the committee. Appointment of two members to the Sports Ground Committee. Mrs. M. Baker and Mr. I. Spencer were elected to serve on the committee. Appointment of one Parish Council representative to serve as a Reading Room Trustee. Mrs M. Baker was elected to serve as a Trustee. 969/470. Accounts for payment for the month of July were agreed for payment The meeting closed 2115hrs.
