THE DRAFT MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THE 6TH JULY 2006 AT 7.30 PM IN THE READING ROOM, GREAT YELDHAM Present were: Mr. M. Wood (Chairman), Mrs. P. Slimming (Vice Chairman), Mr. C. Cumaranatunge, Mr. D. Dyson, Mrs. B. McNeill, Mr. B. Sargeant. Public question time. Mrs McNeill, on behalf of a member of the public, alerted the Parish Council to the large number of rats that are now infesting the Meadows river bank, The clerk was instructed to bring the matter to the attention of Braintree District Council. 1067. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE. Received from County Councillor Mr. David Finch, District Councillor Mr Nigel G. McCrea. Mr. R. Francis, Mrs. M. Baker, Mr. I. Spencer. 1068. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST. None received from members. 1069 MINUTES FOR JUNE 1ST 2006. The minutes for this meeting were confirmed by members as a correct record. 1070 PLANNING APPLICATIONS. Application No 06/1224/COU. Change of use of Unit to MOT station at Hunnable Industrial Estate. No objections. Application No 06/01278/COU. Change of use from Class B1 (Office) to Class A5 (Hot Food Takeaway) Bridge Street, Great Yeldham. Members objected because of the anticipated volume of vehicle parking and the effect that this may have on the Doctors Surgery. Application No 06/01155/FUL. Conservatory. Little Hyde Close. No objections. Application No 06/01316/Ful. Erection of War memorial. Ridgewell Airfield. Supported. 1071. CORRESPONDENCE. Advisory correspondence addressed to the Parish Council was considered by members and referred for filing when required. 1072. PUBLIC FOOTPATH. The Chairman reported that the intended footpath from footway No 10 to the Recreation Ground was now being scrutinized by Essex County Council. From feedback obtained from E.C.C. representative, things seem to be progressing well. 1073. PARISH MAGAZINE ADVERTISEMENTS. The clerk reported to the meeting, that after receiving two letters requesting payment, ten customers have yet to pay and that this in turn will leave a cash shortfall of some £500.00. Members instructed the clerk to inform Mr. G. Slimming to withdraw the advertisements from the magazine. 1074 Accounts for payment were approved for payment by members. The meeting closed at 2015 hrs.
