MINUTES of the MEETING of the GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL

held in the Reading Room, Great Yeldham on Thursday 7th June 2007.

Present were :- Mrs. P Slimming. ( Chairman.) Ms. M Baker. (Vice Chairman) Mr. B. Sargeant. Mr. R. Francis. Mr. J Cumaranatunge. Mr. I Spencer Mr. J Beckett. Mr. R May.

In attendance:- Mr. R Liming. Clerk to the Parish Council.

Apologies for absence: District Councillor Mr. Nigel G McCrea. County Councillor Mr. D Finch. Mr. D Dyson.

Questions from the Public. One received.


Declarations of interest on agenda items. None received.

The Chairman welcomed Mr. R May, a newly appointed member to the Parish Council.

1078. Correspondence.

The Chairman read a letter received from the Whitlock Green Conservation Group requesting permission to replace damaged trees and plant new ones on land adjacent to no 2-10 Whitlock drive. The offer was declined by the Parish Council because of the pending construction of the Doctors Surgery on the site and the landscaping required under the planning permission terms.

Two letters of complaint concerning roadside maintenance were referred to the clerk to Contact County Highways.

Members were made aware of information letters which were then referred for filing.

1079. Planning Applications.

Application no 07/0095/Ful Vehicular access 2 the Croft. Great Yeldham.
No objections.

Application No 0701023/FUL. Erection of two new cottages with linking garages In Leather Lane. Objections from Parish Council. Refer to letter on file.

Application No 07/01015/FUL. External alterations to roof and garden wall.
No objections.

Application No 07/01108/FUL. Conservatory Extension.
No objections

Application No 07/00211/COU. Appeal by Mr. K Finch.
Refer to letter on file.

1080. Woodland Glades Burial Ground.
Members voted in favour of the draft rules for the new Burial Ground subject to a one off payment of £500.00 per plot at time of interment or reservation of plot.
It was agreed by members to review the situation after a three months opening period.

1081. Parking on County Council Land in High Street.

At the request of Mr. Cumaranatunge it was agreed by members that the clerk write to Highways requesting that the section of land be converted into a parking area.

1082. Accounts for payment were approved by members.
