MINUTES of the MEETING of the GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL held in the Reading Room, Great Yeldham on Thursday 1st November 2007. Present were:- Mrs. P Slimming (Chairman), Ms. M Baker (Vice Chairman), Mr. J Beckett, Mr. R Francis, Mr. I Spencer. In attendance :- Mr. R Liming Clerk to the Parish Council. Apologies for absence:- Mr. D Dyson, Mr. C Cumaranatunge, Mr. B Sargeant, Mr.R May. District Councillor Mr. Nigel G McCrea. County Councillor Mr. D. Finch. 1110: Declarations of interest. Councillor Ms. M. Baker declared an interest in agenda item No 8, application or funding from the Cottage Garden Society. As a member of same. 1111. The minutes of the meeting held on 4th October 2007 were approved as a correct record. 1112. Correspondence. Advisory documents received by the Parish Council were considered by members and referred for filing where required. 1113. Planning Applications. Application No 07/02174/FUL. Marquee in grounds of White Hart. No objections from members. Works on preserved Trees at The Lines, High Street, Gt.Yeldham. No objections from members. 1114. Application No 07/02182/FUL. Upper floor extension 4 Toppersfield Road. Gt.Yeldham, No Objections. 1115. Purchase of new computer. It was resolved by members that a new computer be purchased by the Parish from Black Barn Computers, Sible Hedingham, for the sum of £514.00. The Sum of £76.55 VAT will be reclaimed. The net cost = £437.45. 1116. First reading of draft precept for the year 2008/2009. It was resolved by members that an extra £5000.00 be included in the 2008/ 2009 precept. to assist in the completion of the new play area. Total sum of first draft precept £35,450.00 1117. Application for funding from the Cottage Garden Society. It was resolved by members that the sum of £200.00 be donated to the C.G.S. 1118. Accounts for payment. Accounts for payment for the month of October were approved for payment. The meeting closed at 2045 hrs.
