2129. Minutes.
The minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 6th December 2007 were confirmed as a correct record.

2130. Planning applications.
Application No 08/00200/COU.
Change of use of land for the purpose of a music festival and similar events for a maximum of 14 days each year at Spencers, Tilbury Road, Great Yeldham.

After consideration members thought that the application was too open ended, i.e.: “and simlar events”, and that no explanation of how the very restricted Tilbury-Juxta-Clare road could cope with guestimated volumes of traffic over a period of fourteen days.

It was resolved by members that whilst having no objections to a one-off music festival of limited duration, such as a social event, they could not support the application as it is. The clerk was instructed to request Braintree District Council to refuse the application.

2131. Correspondence.
Members were informed of all general information letters received by the Parish Council. Letters relating to policy matters from the District and County Council were referred for filing.

2132. Great Yeldham Glades.
The revised list of villages where the residents will be able to use the Yeldham Glades as a place of rest was aproved by members. The rules and regulations for the Glades were also aproved.

2133. Community Initiatives Fund.
members requested that the funding applications be considered at the March meeting.

Village cleaning and the possibility of holding a summer fete were requested as Agenda items for the March meeting.
