MINUTES of the MEETING of the GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL held in the Reading Room, Great Yeldham on Thursday 5th June 2008. Present were:- Mrs. P. Slimming. (Chairman), Ms. M.. Baker. (Vice Chairman), Mr. R. Francis, Mr. C. Cumaranatunge, Mr. D. Dyson. In attendance :- Mr. R. Liming, Clerk to the Parish Council. Apologies for absence:- Mr. B. Sargeant, Mr. R. May, Mr. J. Beckett, Mr. I. Spencer, Mr. N. McCrea. Mr. D. Finch. 2162. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST. None received from members. 2163. MINUTES. The minutes of the A.G.M. for the year 2008 and the Parish Council meeting held on the 1st May 2008 were approved as a correct record. 2164. Correspondence. Correspondence received by the Parish Council relating to information and future dates of importance, were read to members and referred for filing when appropriate. 2165. Planning Applications. Application for the construction of a Conservatory in Butlers Way, Great Yeldham, was approved by members. 2166. Purchase of Phone/ax. Members approved the purchase of a replacement telephone/Fax machine for the sum of £79. 99. 2167. Unauthorized use of Sports Ground. The Chairman informed the meeting that cars had been using the football and cricket ground as a race track. It was felt that the very poor response by the Police in responding to calls should be brought to the notice of County Councillor Mr. David Finch. A meeting with a police representative, at an unconfirmed date, in the latter part of the month was then agreed by members and the local Police. 2168. Members agreed that Mr. K. Shears should take over the work of the late Mr. K. Metson. 2169. Accounts for payment were considered by members and agreed for payment.
