MINUTES of the MEETING of the GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL

held in the Reading Room, Great Yeldham on Thursday 2nd April 2009.

Present were: Mrs P. Slimming (Chairman), Mr. C. Cumaranatunge (Vice Chairman), Mr. D Dyson, Mr J. Beckett, Mrs L. Cordell, Mr. J. Oswald, Mr. P. Rawlinson.

In attendance: County Councillor Mr. D. Finch, Mr. R. Liming, Clerk to the Parish Council.

Apologies for absence: Mr. B. Sargeant, Mr. R. May, District Councillor Mr. N. McCrea.


2140. Declarations of interest.
No declarations of interest declared by members.

2141. Minutes of the March meeting.
The minutes of the March meeting were confirmed as a correct record by members.

2142. MAGAZINE REPORT. The clerk reported to the meeting that all advertising invoices for the year 2009-2010 had been despatched. The sum of £1800.00 had been received leaving an outstanding balance of £959.00.

2143. CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED BY THE PARISH COUNCIL. A letter received from Ms. M. Trappitt, Chairman of the Neighbourhood Action Group, was read to the meeting.

Ms. Trappitt had been approached by the older children of the community about the use of the BMX track, which at the present time is either being misused or under used because of its present condition.

The Chairman informed the meeting that the maintenance of the track had been discussed at a recent Sports ground Committee. The matter would again be on the agenda for the next Parish and Sports Ground Comittee meetings.

Correspondence relating to information and future dates of importance were read to members and referred for filing when appropriate.

2144. MEMORIAL SEAT FOR LADY BUTLER Members voted in favour of the purchase of a memorial seat for the sum of £658.16 + VAT suported by donations of £25.00 from the Cottage Garden Society and £50.00 from the Whitlock Green Conservation Group.

2145. PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR COMMENT.
Application No 09/00289/FUL. Erection of one end and a half story extension to existing dwelling. 20 Ridgewell Road, Great Yeldham, Essex.
No objections from members.

2146. Application No 08/0296/FUL. Notice of appeal. Members requested that representations be made to the inspectorate.

Members authorised the purchase of a replacement shredder from Sudbury Office Supplies for the sum of £131.40.

2148. NEW DOG BIN FOR FOTPATH 39.
Members rejected the request for a new bin as the one already in position was thought to be sufficient.

2149. Accounts for payment. Accounts for payment were approved by members.

To be in sequence these minute numbers should have 1000 added to them. Always quote month as well as number.
