| MINUTES of the MEETING of the GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL
The meeting was held in the Reading Room, Great Yeldham on Thursday 7th May 2009.
Present were: Mrs P Slimming (Chairman), Mr C Cumaranatunge (Vice Chairman), Mr R May, Mr B Sergeant, Mr D Dyson, Mr J Beckett, Mrs L Cordell, Mr J Oswald, Mr P Rawlinson.
In attendance: County Councillor Mr D Finch, Mr R Liming, Clerk to the Parish Council.
Apologies for absence: District Councillor Mr N McCrea.
2249. Declarations of Interest.
No declarations of interest declared by members.
2250. Minutes of the April 2009 meeting.
The minutes of the April meeting were confirmed as a correct record by members.
2251. CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED BY THE PARISH COUNCIL
A letter received from Mrs Trappet, chairman of the Neighbourhood Action Panel requesting information on the intended maintainance of the BMX track located on the Recreation ground, had been answered by Mr R. May, secretary to the SGMC, giving details of the maintenance programme.
2252. MEMORIAL SEAT FOR LADY BUTLER.
It was resolved by members that a Stainless Steel engraved plaque be purchased for the Lady Butler memorial seat together with a identification plate, to be used in the Woodland Glades. Expected cost £220.00.
2253. PARKING IN WHITLOCK DRIVE.
It was resolved by members that until the need for extra parking facilities was proven, no further action should be taken.
2254. PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR COMMENT.
No applications received in April.
2255. ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT.
Accounts for payment were approved by members for payment.
2256. NOTICE OF INTERMEDIATE AUDIT.
The clerk explained the additional requirements of the Intermediate Audit, then requested members to consider the Annual Return, section one:- theStatement of Accounts for Great Yeldham Parish Council and section two:- The Annual Governance Statement for the Great Yeldham Parish Council. It was then resolved by members that both sections of the form be signed by the Chairman and the Clerk and then passed to the Internal Auditor for completion.

It was resolved by members to purchase a dog bin for footpath no. 39, expected cost to be £270.00.
2258.
It was resolved by members to purchase the Arnold-Baker: Local Council Administration, Eighth Edition reference and guidance book for Parish Councils, for the sum of £67.00.
2258a. JUNE MEETING
Because the Reading Room will be in use for the County Elections on the intended June meeting date, it was agreed by members that the next Parish Council Meeting will be on July 2nd 2009.
The meething closed at 21:40 hrs.
