MINUTES of the MEETING of the GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL

The meeting was held in the Reading Room, Great Yeldham on Thursday 1st October 2009.

Present were:  Mrs P Slimming (Chairman), Mr C Cumaranatunge (Vice Chairman), Mrs L Cordell, Mr B. Sargeant, Mr R Rawlinson, Mr R May.

In attendance:  Mr R Liming, Clerk to the Parish Council.

Apologies for absence: C.C. Mr D Finch. D.C. Mr Nigel G McCrea. Mr D Dyson. Mr J Oswald. Mr J Beckett


Public question time.
A request for information on the distribution of litter bags to the public was made to the Council. The clerk to obtain details from B. D. Council.

Public footpath maintenance was also questioned. And the reply given that any concerns should be reported to the clerk who will then contact the E.C.C. Foot Path department.

2290.  Declarations of Interest.
Mrs P Slimming declared an interest in agenda item No 6. Intended Skateboard Park at the recreation ground..

2291.  September Minutes.
The minutes of the September meeting were approved as a correct record.

2292.  Correspondence Received..
Correspondence relating to information future dates of importance were read to members, and referred for filing when appropriate.

2293.  Planning Applications Received for Comment.
Application No. 09/01136/FUL 09/01137LBC. Barn Conversion at Gunces Farm, Great Yeldham. No objections from members.

2294.  Funding Procedure and Equioment to be Purchased for the New Skateboard Park.
It was agreed by members that Mr Rawlinson make the application for funding for the skateboard park to the County Initiatives Fund, in the name of the Parish Council. This will enable VAT to be reclaimed. The application should be submitted by the end of October in order for any alterations that might be needed, can be made before the deadline of the 6th November. The details of the intended equipment were in the hands of Mr Oswald who was not able to attend the meeting.

2295.  Printing Ink Packs and Funding Request
Members agreed to the purchase of two printing ink packs at a cost of £120.00.

Under section 137 power members agreed to donate £300 towards the Great Yeldham Children's Christmas Party 2009.

2296.  Great Yeldham Transport Museum.
A presentation to the Parish Council from the Yeldham Transport museum relating to their future expansion plans was received with interest by the Parish Council. Members thought that the immediate way forward was to discuss matters at a site meeting at 10am 3.10.09..

2297.  Stansted Airport.
Members decided to refer the problems of noise and flying in unsociable hours over Great Yeldham should be made an agenda item at the next Cluster meeting to be held on 27th October 2009.

2298.  Accounts for Payment.
Accounts for payment were approved for payment.

To be in sequence these minute numbers should have 1000 added to them. Always quote month as well as number.
