MINUTES of the MEETING of the GREAT YELDHAM PARISH COUNCIL

The meeting was held in the Reading Room, Great Yeldham on Thursday 13th May 2010.

Present were:  Mrs P Slimming (Chairman), Mr C Cumaranatunge (Vice Chairman), Mrs L Cordell, Mr B Sergeant, Mr D Dyson, Mr J Beckett.

In attendance:  Mr R Liming, Clerk to the Parish Council. District Councillor Mr N McCrea.


2366.  Apologies and reasons for Absence.
None received.

2367.  Declarations of Interest.
None received from members.

2368.  Chairman's Greeting.
The Chairman welcomed members of the public to the meeting.

2369.  Public Question Time.
No questions from the public.

2370.  The Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 1st April 2010.
The minutes were confirmed as a correct record.

2371.  Accounts for Inspection.
Accounts to 31st March were open to the public for inspection.

2372.  Planning Applications.
No applications received.

2373.  Correspondence addressed to the Parish Council.
Information documents were passed to members. Members were informed of three letters of resignation from the Parish Council: Mr Rawlinson, Mr Oswald and Mr May. The letters have been acknowledged by the Chairman. A letter received from Mr Beverton was also read to the meeting. The Chairman has acknowledged receipt.

2374.  Chain Link fence to Rear of Bus Shelter.
Members rejected the fence proposal, thinking that the fence could be detroyed in a very short time. An alternative kerbing system will now be discussed with the Highways Engineer.

2375.  To Convert the Rear of the Village Notice Board.
The clerk was instructed to obtain quotations to enlarge the rear of the Notice Board.

2376.  Annual Return.
Members approved the Annual Return for Audit.

2377.  Accounts for payment.
Members approved accounts for payment.

 

To be in sequence these minute numbers should have 1000 added to them. Always quote month as well as number.
