IMPROVING PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
- There has been a welcome improvement in the bus service since the Public Forum of Sept 2004. There is now a Saturday evening service to Braintree.
It is operated under contract to Essex County Council with financial support from the Countryside Agency and Great Yeldham, Castle Hedingham,
Sible Hedingham and Gosfield Parish Councils. This service is aimed at the youth of the village.
- The item on the rail service appeared on the Sept. 2004 Forum report as 'Improved transport - train' with no more detail than that. Perhaps this
reflected a general wish for more frequent, less congested trains for cummuting and other rail travel.
