For non regular hirers an advance part payment of £10 is required to secure the booking and a £35 refundable deposit is required on collection
of the key.
LICENCING
The Hall has a Premises Licence number 05/00577/LAPREM G6/3 under the Licensing Act 2003.
The Licensable activities authorised by the Licence are:
Provision of Regulated Entertainment consisting of:
a) Live music - indoors
b) Recorded Music - indoors
c) Performance of dance - indoors
d) Anything of similar description to that falling under a, b or c - indoors.
Provision of Entertainment Facilities for:
e) Making music - indoors
f) Dancing - indoors
g) Entertainment of a similar description to that falling within e or f - indoors.
Licensable activities may take place on Monday to Sunday inclusive until 00.00 hours.
The Licence is restricted to 28 events per calendar year.
SUPPLY of ALCOHOL and TENS
The hall is not licensed for the supply of alcohol.
To supply alcohol at an event the hirer will need a Temporary Event Notice (TEN).

BRIEFLY: "An individual aged 18 or over may give a licensing authority a Temporary Event Notice where the premises are to be used for one or more
licensable activity but do not have a premises licence for that activity. A TEN has to be given in a prescribed form giving certain information, including
which licensable activities will be held, the date, time & numbers permitted to attend. Where is alcohol is to be supplied it will be a conditon
of the notice that supplies will be made under the authority of the 'premises user', i.e. the applicant."
"The TEN must be given to the licensing authority & chief officer of police no later than 10 working days before the event begins. If the police
believe that the event would undermine crime prevention they may give a counter notice to the local authority & premises user."
Limits: there are several time limits to TENS including a general overall maximum of 12 per year.
SALE of ALCOHOL is covered by TENS.
RAFFLES and TOMBOLAS: are exempt from the need for a licence provided that:
1. The lottery is incidental to the overall exempt entertainment.
2. None of the profits may be for private gain.
3. The alcohol is in a sealed container
4. No prize is a money prize.
5. Tickets are only issued when the entertainment takes place.
6. The lottery is not the main inducement to attend.
